THE FIRST STEP TO THE SURFACE OF THE MOON 2019

It all begins with exploring our surrounding and evolving everyday out of it————

The Management of TPS made every child’s dream come true by introducing the students to this journey of designing their telescope on 9th of OCTOBER 2019. No doubt this journey wouldn’t have been so inspiring and successful with 42 students on crew, Key Mentor Satish, from Aryabhata Mobile Planetarium and the Parent community.

STEM is the most happening platform in every educational institution to make the students prepare for the 21st century. We at TPS leave no stone unturned to be ‘The Trendsetters’ in any avenue we take for the betterment of the students and upgrading them to make learning customized for every individual requirement/s.

HIGHLIGHTS

A Mega Project by investing 2.56 lakh by the Honorable Managing Trustee Smt. Savitramma and Honourable Secretary Mr. Manjunath K.

• 18 handmade telescopes were made under one roof by students across VI grade to IX grade.

• Planning, designing and assembling the same.

• A remarkable and successful attempt to use the same telescopes for witnessing three spectacular astronomical mega events reaching around 2500 parents and the surrounding Hesaraghatta residents was not less than launching Chandrayan on the surface of the Moon.

• It was just the beginning. The students represented EPISTEME 2019, BANGALORE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY FAIR, competed with 49 schools and 11 participants and etched their footprints in one of the most prestigious IT Sector of our Silicon Valley, and bagged the first place.
Rest is history and we are prepared to create yet another and many more to come—– because TPS has “launched its Pioneers” for the generations to come.

“Oh that’s spectacular and nice view of moon in the sky. Isn’tthe view is littler blur, somebody asked a student, could you please focus the lens little more precisely. A student adjusted the lens.
“Yah..now it’s clear. That’s wonderful work you all have done”. Suddenly There was applause for students for all the work they did.
And a famous exclamatory quote born at that moment “Who says Scientists are born in ISRO or NASA, they are born in schools too”
Now you may be little surprised what am I talking about. Let me take you there.
This all happened when Triveni Public school students demonstrated their work in Telescope making workshop at School ground on the conclusion day. Let me take you to the background of this.
A noble thought of igniting young minds was hovering in mind of school authority, principal and teachers. To catalize this thought entered Satish N with a wonderful plan of telescope making workshop. Satish convinced school authority about the same and obtained approval from school authority. School authority provided complete financial supportfor the project without any second thought. Thus. The workshop kickstarted after first term of school in 2019. Team of Satish N, Students, Teachers, Principal, School security staff, support staff all strived dailyafter regular school hours, holidays, weekends for a period of 2 months. Finally we saw wonderful Telescopes built by students were there for demonstration on .
Very important take away for students from the workshop were – Determination and dedication in the work, Sacrification of leisure, physical fitness, very importantly valuing knowledge imparted by teachers.
Now turning the pages of recent history, let me brief about My engagement with Triveni public school(TPS):
It started with the educational journey of my elder son Anish in 2010 and further strengthened with enrollment of my younger son, Niranjan in 2020. TPS has provided a safe and comfortable environment for our children to learn and develop. Teachers with friendly, nurturing and professional nature inspire students to give best of themselves. Students get personal attention and guidance from dedicated, professionally trained teacher not only for the regular studies but also for extracurricular activities.
TPS has introduced smart classes long ago to imbibe new technological advancements in the field of education. This helps students to improve understanding about subject.
TPS conducts Science exhibitions every year. Such events help students to understand science concepts more with practical approach, compounding theoretical knowledge.
As we all are aware that, Current situation of Covid -19 has posed enormous challenges to this world in all aspects of life. I specially thank Covid warriors, Principal and teaching staff and support staff for relentless efforts to motivate and teach students of all grades.
TPS is blessed with visionary school authority, Innovative and compassionate principal Mrs Anita Patil, inspirational and knowledgeable teaching staff.
All I can say is, one is blessed to be part of TPS family.
